TMH now hopes to help detect lung cancer earlier.
Lung cancer is the third most common cancer and statistically the deadliest cancer in the country.
There is specific criteria that makes people eligible for the lung screenings.
A primary care physician must refer you for a screening.
Eligibility requires that you are between 55 and 77 years old, that you have no signs or symptoms of lung cancer, that you have a history of smoking a certain number of packs per day for a certain number of years.
The lung screenings are an addition that TMH hopes to help detect cancer earlier in patients.
